Each paper is reviewed by a Co-Editor in Chief or one of the Associate editors in terms of suitability for publication (fit with the journal’s aim, interest for the readership, existence of all required parts of a research paper etc.). If the paper is deemed to be suitable, it is sent to two reviewers, for a double-blind review. In case of a conflict of interests with the Editor, another member of the editorial board is required to handle the review process.
The review criteria considered are the structure and clarity, use of prior literature, methodology, and the quality of results, contribution to literature and research implications.
The result of the review process can be accept, accept with minor revision, accept with major revision, or reject. Authors are informed of the outcome of the review process. The average length of the review process (first round) is 1-3 months.
